MANAGEMENT AND STAYING WELL

As we work towards an endemic, prevention is the best protection to protect yourself and others. The health of our clients, our team and the community remains our focus, both mentally and physically. Coming out of COVID-19 we want to maintain staying well while you continue to engage in your sessions at Ethos Psychology.

Vaccination requirements apply and are complied with for workers in Allied Healthcare settings.

We are adhering to our COVID Safe Plan that is in place and maintaining our precautionary measures upon entering The Ethos Centre.

FACE TO FACE AND TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS

Attendance for on-site face to face appointments resume and face masks are worn in healthcare settings where necessary, as part of the COVID Safe Plan.

Telehealth (video or phone) services remain an option for care delivery and provided where preferred/appropriate. Telehealth is now a more permanent mode and option of service.

MEDICARE SUBSIDISED PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY SESSIONS, Additional 10 sessions

The government has announced that it will not be extending the temporary additional 10 psychology sessions beyond 31 December 2022. Clients were able to access 20 Medicare subsidised psychological therapy sessions that included an additional 10 sessions as an expansion from COVID-19. A Mental Health Care Plan will return back to access of 10 sessions per calendar year as of 2023.

A diagnosed Eating Disorder qualifies for 40 Medicare subsidised psychological therapy sessions.

Telehealth Medicare subsidised services will remain and is now a more permanent structure.

Patients will be required to:

  • Have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral letter from their GP.

  • Undertake a regular reviews with their treating GP.

COVID SCREEN

To help stop the spread of the coronavirus infection we have a few simple screening questions and you’re required to answer “NO” to all of the questions below.

  • Are you feeling unwell?

  • Have you had any of the following symptoms in the last 2 weeks: fever, dry cough, sore throat and fatigue?

  • Have you recently returned from overseas travel in the last 2 weeks or have been in contact with anyone that has been overseas in the past 2 weeks?

  • Have you been in contact with anyone that has COVID-19/coronavirus or anyone that has been potentially been exposed to COVID-19/coronavirus?


    If you answered “YES” to any of the above questions you’re not to attend your appointment at the premises.
