You don’t need to be in a crisis to seek support. At Ethos Psychology, our General Psychology services provide a collaborative, professional space to navigate life’s natural transitions, manage modern stress, and rediscover your emotional resilience.

Modern, Supportive Therapy for Everyday Life

Our General Psychology service is designed for individuals navigating both significant mental health conditions under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and those seeking proactive support for complex life challenges. We provide evidence-based treatment for:

Navigating Transitions: For individuals facing relationship changes, career shifts, or identity growth

Managing Modern Stress: Support for burnout, persistent worry, low mood, and overwhelming everyday demands

Building Stronger Foundations: Tailored therapy to improve self-esteem, master emotional regulation, and break unhealthy behavioural cycles

Addiction & Relapse Prevention: Tailored, structured support for individuals recovering from substance use, alcoholism, or addictive behaviours, focusing on identifying triggers and maintaining long-term sobriety

Accessing Care: Referrals & Medicare Rebates

We work closely with General Practitioners (GPs) across South Melbourne and Victoria. If you are experiencing a mental health concern, you may be eligible to access up to 10 Medicare-rebated psychology sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

1. Visit your GP

Visit your GP and request a double-consultation to discuss a Mental Health Care Plan and referral letter.

2. Send your documentation

Send your documentation directly to our administration team at admin@ethospsychology.org

3. Book your initial session

Book your initial session with our available Registered or Clinical Psychologists. An optional free consult call with our Client Intake Specialist is available to assist.

No referral? No problem. You are welcome to book as a private client at any time without a GP letter.
